Discovering the Buddha Within – Inner Peace – Mingyur Rinpoche
August 7 @ 9:00 am - August 11 @ 5:00 pm
We are delighted to announce the launching of Discovering the Buddha Within, an experiential learning program of the Buddha Dharma created by His Holiness the 12th Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa, with the assistance of His Eminence Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche.
The aim of this curriculum is to explain the essence of the Buddha’s teachings along with step-by-step practice instructions/guidance in an easy and understandable yet comprehensive way for one to discover the ultimate nature of the mind and phenomena and to give a general map of the Dharma and its practice.
For each level, the teacher will explain the view (intellectual understanding), meditation (experiential understanding), and application (applying this understanding to change one’s daily habits) of the topics according to Shravakayana, Mahayana, and Vajrayana.
The Discovering the Buddha Within curriculum consists of three levels:
Level Two: Awakened Heart
Level Three: Original Purity
Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche has accepted to lead the program, starting this year, 2020, in Europe (Porto, Portugal from August 7 to 11). From 2021 he will offer three teaching programs per year, one in each of Europe, America, and Asia.
In addition, four senior Khenpos of Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat will also travel to Palpung monasteries and Dharma Centers worldwide each year to teach this curriculum.
After receiving the teachings by any of the appointed teachers and for a proper follow up of this study curriculum, each student will be granted a username and password to access an online study platform, via which they will be able to send questions to the Khenpos.
The Level One program is open to everyone with the intent to learn about Buddhism or to deepen, clarify their understanding of it.
In order for all of you to fully appreciate and practice the progressive path of this teaching, we are requesting every participant to attend all days and all sessions of this program.
For those new to Buddhism, the practice commitment is to practice at least 10 minutes every day for a minimum of 30 consecutive days. For those who are already practicing the Buddha Dharma, their actual practice will work as the commitment.
The Teaching is in English with translation in Portuguese, Spanish, French and German
