In meditation there are many approaches we can use to working with Emotion. First, through observing and our mind in an open, allowing way, we get to know our emotions and can see clearly that emotion isn’t solid. We don’t have to be scared of them or enamoured by them and we definitely don’t have to believe them to be true! We have no freedom when we slavishly follow emotion , believing it to be true and getting all worked up. In this way we loose our peace of mind, our equilibrium. When we deeply know this in every cell of our body we can experience true peace of mind.
This afternoon’s session will be based primarily on practice with some supporting material.
The afternoon will include a guided loving kindness practice as well as a tea break!Everyone is welcome

Chenrezig – Manifestation of pure non referential perfect love and compassion
5.40pm – 6pm Chenrezig group practice – the essence of compassion – prayers to connect with our kind, loving , compassionate, non-referential ,limitless essence . The practice is learning to see all beings as this pure love and sending this love to all beings and our ailing planet. Everyone is invited to stay for this practice.The text is chanted in Tibetan but you can can participate through visualisation and mantra recitation if you are not familiar with the practice.Any queries please call Ani Chodron on 0863027512 or send a mail!We have a monthly session in St Lukes on the third Sunday of every month.For your comfort bring a cushion if you wish to sit on the floor. A shawl for around your shoulders can make your meditation experience more comfortable!
