“Getting to know my mind”
When we remove outward distractions, we meet and become intimate with  our mind. How does our mind operate? Learning the dance of not slavishly following our thoughts and emotions while at the same time not suppressing them out of  fear is a skill that we continually practice .  Only then can we truly  see that all the energy of our mind is the essential raw material of our meditation practice.  In a supportive group environment of fellow truth seekers we can confidently reveal a mind that is more open, pliable , peaceful and content; a mind that is caring and wise.
Our week-end retreat will be mainly meditation sessions, written contemplation exercises and  mindfulness practice. There will be some video teaching  as well as small group discussion and feed-back.
Some of the topics   we will explore include:
What sort of person am I?
What do I fear?
The dance of meditation.
Understanding the cycle of emotion  – how not to take the bait.
Softly leaning into the sharp edge with wisdom.
  Don’t be distracted by anything – meditation in every moment.
Wherever I go ,there I am – every moment is my  teacher.
